"Very best paediatric care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Paediatrics

(as the patient),

I was in Paediatrics in Crosshouse ward 1C shortly after having my baby. I was 7 days post section and had an unwell baby. There was one nurse that stood out from all the rest. This nurse was called Libby. I saw her again today when in receiving antibiotics for my baby. I was so happy to finally get her name so I could write this.

Libby took the very best care of me at a time I was most vulnerable and felt so very alone and lonely. She took time out of what I imagine is a very busy job. Libby held my hand. She reassured me when I needed it more than ever and comforted me when I felt so very scared and isolated. The NHS need more Libby’s x

Dear foxtrotxh39

Thank you for sharing your experience whilst receiving care in ward 1c. I am pleased to hear that Libby made a scary experience easier for you. I hope your little one is feeling better and wish you both well for the new year

I will pass your message on to Libby and the team

Best wishes

Attica
