"Having my baby"

About: Maternity care / Ward 48 (labour ward)

(as a service user),

I was induced to have my baby in Altnagelvin Hospital at the start of December 2021, being a young mummy I was absolutely terrified and had no idea what to expect. I had the loveliest midwife Brogan and she made me feel so reassured and safe, she made my experience brilliant and I definitely couldn’t have done it without her. Thank you so much Brogan!!!

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us. We as a team are delighted your birth experience was a positive one for you. I will be sure to pass on your kind compliment to Brogan. In a week that we are celebrating the strength of woman (International Woman day) this is very fitting to remind us all that midwives have the compassion, support and kindness to support each and every woman in their birth journey irrespective of age. On behalf of the whole team congratulations on your birth.
