"Invaluable help"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Last night I had to go to fetal assessment in Altnagelvin as my baby had reduced movements throughout the day. From the moment I rang down I was reassured. Midwife Kamar met me at the door (unfortunately I am covid positive so my partner couldn't come in) and from there she did not leave my side.

Thankfully my baby was OK and just having a lazy day to themselves. Kamar explained everything to me, she showed me what she was looking for, explained the CTG tracings and overall helped to keep me calm. Thank you Kamar for your invaluable help last night.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. Having to come to be assessed in the Covid Unit, when you are worried about your baby can be frightening, but I am very thankful that Temar was able to put your mind at ease and was able to reassure you. I will be sure to pass your thanks onto Temar and I hope your post will reassure other mums to be whom are covid positive.
