"Maternity care was second to none"

I recently attended the maternity unit with yourselves in Altnagelvin and from the moment i arrived until the moment I went home I must say my experience was amazing. The nurses and midwives in assessment, Labour ward , the team in theatre, recovery and then postnatal were amazing. I planned on a natural birth but after a very long day in labour I was taken to theatre where my wee boy was born via c-section.

The team were so respectful of me and of my partner, kept him fed and watered whilst we were there and nothing was a problem. They made me feel relaxed and I felt I was in the best care possible at all times. I would like to thank in particular Lisa, Niamh, janine, Ciara and Shannon, the midwives who took care of me throughout my labour and again the team in theatre and the team in postnatal. Everyone was fantastic and nothing was a problem. My experience was second to none and would have no hesitation on returning here again.
