"Importance of 'Me' time"

About: Fern Centre

(as a service user),

Having some time out for myself has proved to be so important to my physical and mental health when coping and a family members Terminal Cancer diagnosis. In such circumstances it can become easy to neglect yourself focussing all your attention and energy to help the family member with their diagnosis. Its really shown me the importance and benefits of having some 'me' time and being kind to oneself. Its helped me with my stress and anxiety which then has a beneficial impact on medical health issues. I will definitely be taking some time out for me in the future to invest in myself after seeing the benefits !!!
