"Patient and amazing with my wee boy"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I've had to attend twice in the last few months with my 1 year old accident prone son. On both occasions the staff were absolutely fantastic. On the first occasion the dept was so busy they ran out of space in the waiting room, yet the staff were still friendly and helpful. On both occasions all members of staff, including the radiographers, were patient and amazing with my wee boy. I can't thank them enough. Although the waits were difficult with a toddler in a hospital waiting room, I really felt for the staff who were rushed off they're feet four hours without any let up.
