"They made sure I wasn't in any discomfort"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I had an internal ultrasound. I went in feeling embarrassed but the two female nurses put me at ease instantly, told me exactly what was happening at all times and why, made sure I wasn’t in any discomfort. It wasn’t uncomfortable and was over quickly. Very well done.

Dear Chassisyr98

Thank you very much for your lovely email following your appointment with Gynaecology Services at NHS Highland.

I am delighted to hear you have received such good care from the staff.

Attending hospital can be an anxious time for patients but I am glad to read that the staff put you as ease and offered a full explanation of the scan.

It is always a pleasure to receive such comments and to know that the staff at NHS Highland are appreciated both for their hard work and for their attitude towards patients.

I have passed on your comments and asked that managers share with all the staff involved in your care.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience.

Kind regards

Sylvia
