We attended children’s A&E at QMC Nottingham. My daughter had bad asthma, we were immediately triaged and given a map, we had to walk across a car park to “NEMS” clearly an outsourced department which said walk in centre when we arrived.
There was many people adults and children and a wait of three hours advertised. This was a horrible experience for my child, many adults with sick bowls and being sick.
We stayed two hours and no triage or check to see if my daughter was fine, we left and used an alternative NHS service.
It seems the NUH has outsourced this service without any care for patient care. NEMS are clearly struggling to deliver this service.
"This was a horrible experience for my child"
